Job description
What will you do?
As a Commissioning Engineer Laser Machines, you are responsible for commissioning our laser machines at customer locations worldwide. You work with advanced fiber laser cutting machines and automated laser solutions that are a critical part of the customer’s production process. Depending on the project, you work independently or together with one or two colleagues on site.
From the project kick-off onwards, you analyse the customer’s production process and translate this into the optimal machine setup. You are involved until final handover and acceptance. Besides technical expertise, communication plays an important role, as you guide and train operators to use the machines safely and efficiently.
You travel internationally to customers in Europe, America, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Projects follow a fixed working rhythm of approximately three weeks on site and one week at home, requiring flexibility and independence.
Commissioning and testing fiber laser cutting machines and automated laser systems;
Analysing and optimising customer-specific production processes;
Solving technical issues during on-site commissioning;
Training and supporting operators and technical staff at customer locations;
Collaborating with colleagues from service, software and project management.
Job requirements
We ask
A technical education, preferably in mechatronics, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering;
Experience with commissioning, service or machine start-up, preferably laser machines or CNC-controlled systems;
Affinity with software, automation and industrial production lines;
Good command of the English language, Dutch is a plus;
Willingness to travel internationally and work flexibly.
