Parts Service Engineer

Summary

We are seeking Delivery Engineer to join our team at Voortman USA LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that delivered equipment operates at peak performance. This is achieved through expert troubleshooting, training, and ongoing remote technical support.

Position Objective:

• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

• Enhance operational efficiency and provide valuable insights into machinery output.

• Drive customer satisfaction

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with the Voortman Commercial team to create sales orders and quotes

• Confirms customer details to generate precise quotes and orders by utilizing electrical and mechanical drawings, SAP, and equipment history data among other resources.

• Find’s solutions within our organization for obsolete or extended lead time parts

• Create Vendor and Customer RMA requests

• Input essential product information into SAP concerning modifications and replacement parts.

• Collaborate with our support and service department to prioritize tasks related to part requests and define their scope accordingly.

• Manages P1 tasks, while providing customers with the most up to date information.

• Manages open orders, while updating with the most accurate lead times

• Works with Brokers to update HTS/Tariff Codes  

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Ability to Commute:

• Monee, IL (Required)

• Valid driver's license and passport for international travel

• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 80%

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of CNC machinery

• Knowledge of electrical plans (e-plans)

• Ability to read and interpret schematics

• Experience in customer-facing roles with the ability to provide technical support and training

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• 2–3 years of experience in the steel manufacturing industry

• At least two years of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
