As a Field Service Technician, where you'll solve hands-on technical challenges, work independently at customer sites, and build a rewarding career with opportunities for growth. We are seeking motivated, mechanically inclined individuals to join our team as CNC Field Service Technicians. In this hands-on role, you will travel to customer facilities to install, troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair CNC machinery. Your expertise will help ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while minimizing customer downtime and maximizing productivity.

  • Install and commission new CNC machinery.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine service.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.

  • Diagnose equipment problems and make repairs to keep customers up and running.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Calibrate and test machines after installation or repair.

  • Train customers on machine operation and basic maintenance.

  • Complete service reports and communicate findings professionally.

  • Travel to customer locations throughout the region, with overnight travel.

Job requirements

Requirements

 

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing CNC machinery, machine tools, or industrial equipment preferred.

  •   Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, automation, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automotive, military, or a related technical field will also be considered.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.

  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, and CNC controls.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing equipment such as multimeters

  • Ability to install, calibrate, and commission CNC machinery and verify proper machine operation.

  • Strong computer skills for completing service reports, documenting repairs, and communicating with customers and internal teams.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage service schedules, and prioritize multiple assignments.

  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned region, including overnight travel as needed.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and work in industrial manufacturing environments.

  • Technical degree, apprenticeship, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred but not required.
