What are you going to do?
The Warehouse Manager internally known as the Warehouse Team Lead at Voortman USA LLC is a working lead responsible for both leading and actively participating in daily warehouse operations. This role performs hands‑on work alongside the team while overseeing inventory control, storage locations, loading and unloading of equipment, and transportation coordination. The Warehouse Team Lead regularly works on the warehouse floor as well as in the office, providing real‑time direction, resolving operational issues as they arise, and ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This position plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, maintaining operational discipline, and leading the team to achieve short‑ and long‑term performance goals.

Oversee, coordinate, and when required, actively participate in the safe loading and unloading of all inbound and outbound equipment, movement of material within the production facility including machinery, pallets, components, and customer shipments.
Ensures the accurate and timely fulfillment of all internal and external orders by overseeing end‑to‑end warehouse operations—including but not limited to picking, packing, and shipping—while coordinating daily workflows and collaborating closely with Service, Production, Sales, and Planning to align priorities, meet deadlines, and support overall operational and customer needs.
Establish and/or sustain all processes and procedures related to warehouse and logistical operations
Manage the warehouse to maximize its space, organizational layout, safety, proper equipment and the maintenance of it and ensure its maintained clean
Take full ownership of all inventory discrepancies, ensuring accurate investigation, resolution, and accountability across warehouse operations and participate in cycle counts and inventory reconciliations
Manage the selection of warehouse supplies and stock quantities for the Warehouse Team to have on hand
Resolve any logistical disputes, and the process for documentation around logistics.
Assign, direct, and verify proper use of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and dock equipment; ensure operators are properly trained and certified.
Oversee and manage employees and align with staffing requirements consistent with business needs, including but not limited to; scheduling, training, quality, safety
Manage onboarding/training of new and existing staff for the Warehouse Department
Create, maintain, and evaluate all protocols for the warehouse to include operational and safety, reporting any issues or concerns to management
Work hand-in-hand with the Human Resources/Recruitment Departments in the interview process of candidates, both internal and external, to enable optimal placements in department specific jobs
Conduct annual performance reviews and be responsible for the professional development and/or performance of assigned staff
