Field Service Engineer Robotics

What are you going to do?

Voortman is an innovative organization that continuously develops new steel processing machines and software solutions. One of our most recent developments is a fully automated welding machine: the Fabricator. For this Fabricator, we are currently looking for a new colleague to strengthen our team.

As a Field Service Engineer Robotics, you will travel across Europe to maintain and repair our automated welding machines. You will efficiently resolve malfunctions and work closely with the customer to optimize the machine’s performance and quality. You also provide advice to help prevent future issues.

Your tasks include:

• Analyze technical issues related to the machine and software at customer sites and resolve them on location;

• Assess the entire process—from preparation to operation—to identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements;

• Discuss findings in a customer-friendly manner with the client and internally with the Service Coordinator or other departments;

• Train customers in using the machine, performing maintenance, and preventing malfunctions;

• Provide feedback to engineering to help improve the machine and software.

We ask

• A completed technical education or technical knowledge gained through previous work experience;

• Experience in a similar role, preferably within the steel industry;

• Basic knowledge of software and robotics;

• Strong communication skills, structured, decisive, and a team player;

• Residing in the UK and Proficiency in English;

• Flexible, eager to learn, solution-oriented, and willing to travel up to 75%.
