If you apply for a job at Voortman, you don’t want your personal data to end up with others or be used for different purposes. And you’re absolutely right. We wouldn’t want that either. That’s why we do everything we can to keep your private information truly private.
We only ask for the information we need to properly process your application. Your personal data is stored in a secure location—and that’s where it stays. We only share your information internally with those directly involved in the hiring process, such as our HR Advisor and Recruiters.
The only exception is if you need to complete an assessment as part of your application. In that case, we will send your details to our external assessment agency—but only with your prior consent and only the information necessary for the assessment. Of course, they also handle your data confidentially.
Your personal data will never be shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
Data when applying
To ensure a smooth application process, we may ask for the following information:

Date of birth
Contact details
Address details
Email address
CV with relevant education and work experience
Short motivation
HOW DO WE USE YOUR DATA?
When you apply for a job or internship with us, we collect your personal information. Along with an interview, this is usually enough to determine if you’re the right fit for the position. However, in some cases, we may need additional information. For example, we might contact one of your references—but only after discussing it with you first.
If the application process ends and you are not selected, we will delete all your application data. However, if we don’t have a suitable opportunity for you at the moment but would like to stay in touch, we will always ask for your permission to keep your data.
If we can congratulate you on your new job, we will need your personal details to ensure your salary is paid correctly and on time and to support your professional development.
We also use special LinkedIn accounts to view the profiles of potential colleagues. This allows us to reach out directly to invite you to visit our company or express interest in an open position.
HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA?
We do not retain your data longer than necessary. Your data is stored for at least 30 days and up to a maximum of 3 months. The only exception is if you give us permission to keep your details in our portfolio or talent pool for 12 months.
Of course, you remain in control of your personal data. Would you like to access a copy of the data we have about you? Or do you want to update, delete, or restrict its use? No problem. You can email us at careers@voortman.net. You can also contact us at this address if you believe your privacy interests outweigh ours. In such cases, we will review the situation again.
