Job description
What are you going to do?
As a Software Tester at DIGI-Steel, part of Voortman Steel Machinery, you’ll play a key role in the development of our cloud-based software platform, used by clients across the globe in the steel processing industries. You’ll be part of a skilled and motivated team, working closely with Product Owners and developers to ensure the application meets high standards of usability, reliability and performance.
You’ll be involved throughout the entire development lifecycle, from early requirement analysis to final release validation. Your insights will help shape the user experience and ensure that new features are delivered with confidence. With your eye for detail and structured approach, you’ll contribute to a stable and scalable product that meets the needs of a demanding international market.
Your responsibilities include:
Translating functional requirements into clear test cases and acceptance criteria;
Executing manual tests;
Identifying, documenting and tracking bugs with clear reproduction steps;
Performing exploratory and regression testing to ensure product stability;
Participating in sprint planning and daily stand-ups;
Maintaining and updating test documentation;
Promoting quality standards and process compliance throughout development.
Job requirements
We ask
Proven experience in manual testing;
Strong analytical skills and technical proficiency to understand complex systems;
Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Swagger;
Ability to perform root cause analysis using logs and metrics;
Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset;
Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies;
Ability to self-organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
