Job description
What are you going to do
The Tactical Buyer is responsible for managing the day-to-day procurement activities that support Voortman USA’s operations and customers throughout North America. This role oversees the sourcing, purchasing, and availability of parts, tooling, consumables, and machine components by building and maintaining strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers. The Tactical Buyer collaborates closely with Parts, Service, Engineering, Delivery, Warehouse, and Global Procurement teams to prioritize critical shortages, support customer requirements, optimize transportation costs, and maintain high service levels while balancing inventory investment and procurement costs.
The role also includes maintaining accurate supplier, pricing, and material master data within SAP and other business systems, resolving invoice and payment discrepancies with Accounts Payable, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement and inventory management.
