Production Planner

    • Monee, United States
  • $60,000 - $80,000 per year
  • Production & Work Preparation

Job description

What are you going to do?

The Production Planner is responsible for controlling and coordinating all materials from the moment they arrive at the VUSA production facility, ensuring warehouse availability, production‑ready completeness, and full bill‑of‑material readiness for all machine projects. This role protects uninterrupted assembly operations by performing thorough incoming inspections, completeness and quality checks, and maintaining accurate on‑site material status. Ongoing coordination with the Netherlands as the primary supplier, along with proactive communication with internal production teams, ensures materials are ready, accurate, and compliant to support efficient factory operations.

Job requirements

We ask

  • Own material planning at the machine, module (kit), and component levels to ensure complete and timely readiness for assembly within the production facility.

  • Verify that all materials arriving at the production facility meet correct configuration, quantity, and project allocation requirements before being introduced into production workflows.

  • Serve as the accountable owner for confirming 100% completeness of materials, kits, and modules before releasing work to assembly.

  • Prevent interruptions by making recommendations about halting or delaying assembly if materials are incomplete, incorrect, or non‑conforming, escalating to Production Management.

  • Identify and communicate production‑impacting material risks early, driving corrective actions with Production Management, Purchasing, Warehouse & Logistics, and suppliers.

  • Serve as the central material‑planning contact for Assembly, Warehouse, Quality, and Production Planning within the production facility.

  • Lead resolution efforts for missing, incorrect, or non‑conforming materials in coordination with Works Office.

  • Support the maintenance of strategic material buffers and decoupling points relevant to the production facility’s operations.

  • Maintain visibility into material status, completeness, shortages, and risks through dashboards and reporting shared with Production Management and Global Supply Chain.

  • Escalate critical shortages or systemic material issues promptly and in accordance with escalation procedures.

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels for all project‑related materials stored or used in the production facility and report inventory trends, shortages, or overages to Production Management.

  • Other Duties as assigned.
