Internship: Extending native mobile functionalities of EVI
DIGI-STEEL is a start-up and member of the Voortman Steel Group, which is one of the market leaders for steel machinery. With DIGI-STEEL we introduce the first fully cloud-based software solution for steel processors. It is the next generation steel workshop management software guiding our customer’s factories into the smart industry 4.0 era.
What are you going to do?
DIGI-STEEL wants to develop software solutions that can easily be used in a factory. Customers are thriving to be as efficient as possible. Time is money. Therefore, we want to guide our customers in improving the production output of their machines/machine lines. This is a multidisciplinary topic covering processes, information and human interaction.
DIGI-EVI, as part of the smart industry solution of Voortman, is one of the first steps in this direction. It is a tool which helps a customer on multiple levels to improve their production efficiency and machine utilization. DIGI-EVI is built with Ionic Angular and offers next to a web application also a version for iOS and Android devices. The extra functionality for mobile devices is currently on a basic level, something we want to improve on.
We would like you to research possibilities and make a first proof of concept to extend DIGI-EVI with more mobile native functionalities like clearing notifications, the use of fingerprint or in-app updates.
We would like you to:
- Research possible native mobile functionalities extending our current application
- Make a selection of value adding functionalities
- Make a proof of concept of the functionalities
